Lebaran 2006

It was so sad that I couldn’t go back to Malaysia to celebrate Hari Raya with my beloved family but it was also quite thrilled celebrating raya in Indonesia for the first time.
In Ramadhan month, everything was still the same. No difference with what we had before but when raya was around the corner already, all the shops are closed till we didn’t have place to go to eat. On the day before Raya we(me, Haha, John, Aini, Syaz, Nat) went to Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, by bus.

We reached Kg Rambutan Bus Station and took taxi to go to Wisma Malaysia. I suggested to use meter for the cab while another suggested fixed price, bargain first then only get on the cab. And we used meter and unfortunately we got cheated. The meter has been fixed that it ran so fast. N it cost Rp.140000. Everybody was cursing the cab driver as we arrived at our destination. Jakarta is really different compared to the place I’m staying…Jakarta is more developed and somewhat more civilized.. People there are so open-minded and not so darn conservative like people here. We stayed In Wisma Malaysia at Jln. Cokroaminoto..

We went to several malls like Plaza Sarina….

I've turn around the photo but when it's uploaded, all the changes made are nullified...stupid human's invention!!

We didn't buy a thing bcoz the prices are exorbitantly high

On the way to Plaza Semanggi we found a spectacular park, so we took a break and had some some pictures taken there....
Plaza Semanggi….
At Plaza Semanggi we played games there since game machines at Jatinangor Town Square are so limited…..
We broke our last fast at The Buffet…..
It was expensive but worth it..we ate so much till one of my friends puked three times

We were loafing there until all the shops closed. Then we went back by cab to our Wisma Malaysia. Everybody was so exhausted….

The next day we celebrated Hari Raya at the embassy…We could eat malaysian’s food which was nice especially the Rendang. We also met our friends that studying at UI, Unkrida, Uni trisakti, Uni Moestopo and bla2..It was no fun compare to celebrating raya with our family but still it was much better that staying at yr room alone the whole day....
Barisan Kuning...

The we went to Dufan(Dunia Fantasi) at Anchol. It is a theme park that is bigger than genting theme park...
Rumah Miring( inclined-floor house)...
In the log......
We got wet after “Arung Jeram”
We didn’t have enough time to play all the games, so we just played the ones that are the most thrilled..

On the way back, we didn’t get air-conditioned bus, so we took the normal bus which didn’t pass thru toll( high way) and It took 5 hours in that hot(sauna-like), packed(sardine-like) and suffering (hell-like) journey… We slept most of the time......
That’s the end of our excursion to Jakarta..

so-called university

I dnt know whether university lifestyle is like this but what i know is i dont like it..Im lost..dnt know what to study..dnt knw what to do...blur and confuse all the time..pple mind their own business....the lecturers cant speak english properly..im not saying that im good but at least my english is understandable...what do u think of 1 hour lecture with countable words stuttered by the lecturer...me who was so zestful at first....turn to be sleeepy nak mapus..what im worried here is what i heard from seniors who told me that in exam...if they couldnt understand yr answer, they could simply put "X" on it...*sigh* so u havte use simple english but how simple could it be if they could hardly recall what is "kucing" called in english...never mind..this is the first sem...so i wanna c how thing's going first then we judge them!!!!hehe

sucks!!!!!!!!!!

Padma the consultant for international students sucks..they cheated our money a lot..olike for our accomodation which is only 4.5 mil is charged up to 6 mil..and our KITAS for immigration which is 150usd is charged 500usd..neway even local citizens here admid tht here corruption is rampantly perpetrated..bribery, embezzlement and so forth are such common things..If u are stopped by police for no helmet or no license, jz giv them 10000rp, then u will be released.. even though all the stuff is paid by jpa, still im indignant as a jpa scholar especially when our allowance probably deducted for the overcharged accomodation...we got charged for this and that and got cheated around by vendors and transport condustors..Ya Allah tabahkan lah hatiku yg kecil ini...

OSPEC aka induction week

The dumbest thing I ever have to attend. Usually the orientation organized should be suitable with the age of the candidates but this one we’re treated like 15 years old school students..!! what the heck”!!we’re all supposed to be in formal gear-long sleeve white shirt and black pants with violet ribbon on right arm and dentist pin on left arm..and gotta wear a gigantic molar-tooth-shape name tag FRONT AND BACK!!!!! We were trying as hard as we could,, looking for any excuses not to attend that orientation…havta open bank account la..got business with immigration la..and so on.. Some of my friends got diarrhea but alhamdulillah I didnt get but some who were not used it as an excuse.. In the orientation there are two kinds of facilitators-the damn kind ones and bloody strict ones..They, supposedly acting strict in front of us..they don’t smile at all..I wonder how they did that..even when eating breakfast also, we have to follow their ridiculous orders..5 minutes for fried rice..drink milk in 10 secs and a lot of absurd rules which made me sick of it. And they come like tentera kayangan ayah Pin..they engulf us and when they wanted to leave.. we were ordered to close our eyes and close the ears..as we opened they’d disappeared..wow!!!so magical and amazing!!yea..rite..who knows while we’re closing our eyes, they were running off like hell(lari seperti anjing bercawat ekor) with their frowned face..and everyday we’re ggiven a bunch of nonsense tasks..but like usual, we didn’t do them..screw em..while we’re having a talk or something, they’d be guarding us to make sure we didn’t sleep or ngobrol(talking to each other) they were showing angry-headmaster face and gawking at us.I like to play with them..when they scowled at me , I stared them back right at their eyes..i dnt want to brag but I’ve been debating since I was a second former..eye contact is the basic thing of all..I won several times.hahaha..when we meet them we have to say ‘punten kang/te.it’s like excuse me..I usually smiled as wide as I could right at their grumpy face..One of them felt like returning my smile..it’s human’s natural reaction..hahaha..when they asked us why didn’t do this n that, we jz aa!!aa!! like didn’t comprehend what the ^%$# they r saying even though we did actually..n sometimes we pretended like we construe what they asid in diff way till they gave up scolding us..Next week, the first class will start,,I can’t wait to c how it’ll go.

My arrival in Indonesia

I departed at 9 from KLIA and arrived at Suhartoe la la(dnt knw what’s the name) airport at 11a.m Malaysia time and 10.00 am Indonesia time. The airport is not bad. From the airport, we went to Bandung by bus. Actually not Bandung but Jatingangor. ‘Certain someone’ said that from Jakarta to Bandung is only 1 hour but it took about 5 and a half hours..We were all ‘capet banget’(damn exhausted) as we reached our ‘kosan’(hostel)..it is quite nice we got one room each and a toilet…at that night itself, we went to one of the supermarkets to buy basic equipments..shower foam, tooth paste, broom and bla bla.. the goods are not as cheap as we thought..They are about the same with malaysia’s..xcept for food which is considered cheap as I lived in shah alam before where the prices of food are exorbitantly high..

Akademi Fantasia IS NOT a passing fad

Akademi Fantasia is definitely not a passing fad like claimed by some judgemental people who is totally oblivious with their surrounding where the craze about A.F is totally beyond expectation. (Perhaps bcause of the expectation is so darn low..)I myself not a very fan of A.F but I don't make some snap judgement like some pple do. It is proved, evidently, up to season 4, A.F is still full of fire...The outburst of tears, laughters could be seen when Aznil announced the winner for A.F season4, Mohd FAizal who is from Terengganu..i who is partially trganu pple is so proud of him..i envy the ability of the host, Aznil who eloquently brought the suspense vibe..i was affected too...juz a smidgen actually..anyway..people say that AF4 is the worst so far but this is the first final episode that I ever watched, so I couldnt say anything about the performance even though I'm not entirely happy..Anyhow, to upcoming Af, Im looking forward to watching better performance..see you Af in 2007!!!

Terengganu is blessed with the beauty of nature

SEKAYU WATERFALL is such a great place...the scenery itself is so mesmerizing and fascinating..with the naturality of its preserved green forest and the clean, cold, transperant water...not to mention the very moment when u get into the water...it 's freaking cold..luckily we went at afternoon so it wasnt as cold as last time when i caught a cold after that...i was really relishing the fun of sekayu...especially when trying to swim against the strong current...N at the waterfall site, the torrential water battering you in nice way..like a massage..damn rejuvenating..
I regret for not bringing camera or video-cam but it practically looks like this...

After i uploaded this pic, then i reckon sekayu is way nicer...the swimming area is spacious and deeper and with lesser moss-covered rocks...plus the waterfall area looks exactly like jacuzzi with the bubbles produced but i dont delete this pic as it took a long time to upload it...ANYway im gonna go once again before going to indon..with a lot more of friends(plus one to be exact) and will bring cam...I'll show you the real beautiful SEKAYU WATERFALL

Terengganu Education Fund

Money is everywhere..Terengganu Education Fund(TEF) helps its students by giving some money to them whenever they want to pursue their studies to next level...and i want to further my studies to degree level in university so I am fully qualified to apply for that money..and now is the third time i got money from them..the first one when I wanted to go to residential school and I got RM500 and to matriculation college, I got another RM500 although I jz stayed there for three weeks and I chow and went to KUTPM..And Now to university I got another RM1000..Alhamdulillah...actually im not even real rakyat Terengganu..I was born in Perak and lived there for 9 years ..only in 1997, I moved to terengganu..That's why years ago, when i wanted to apply, I didnt put high hope as might be I wasnt qualified but now looking at the money i got, I believe im now fully-fledged rakyat Terengganu after almost 10 years living here and can apply for anything that they offer. Before i applied for that money, I met one of my friends, HAzim who is also from Terengganu...and he said based on his conjecture that TEF doesnt help students that are going overseas(he and his fallacious arguement!!)..I was stunted and somewhat perplexed..TEf itself send students to overseas, so why dont they help other students that will be studying abroad under diff scholarship..But then, i thought, come what may, it worth a try..so i leave it to my dad who has settled up everything yesterday and he got the money on the spot....

details of the flight

My flight will be on 22nd/8..and the the flight is at 9am but Jpa wants us to be there 3 and a half hours earlier and that would be at 5.30am..but after some bodek2 with cik Intan she agreed tht the rendezvous will be at 6am at KLIA..we're supposed to garb in prim attire plus blazer if im not mistaken..why dont they just ask us to wear bandanna saying"I'm Jpa nerdy student". Our luggages and bags will be tied up with yellow ribbon as a mark of jpa students' property, so it'd be easier when they wanna segregate jpa's stuff and other pple's stuff..and im going by MAS plane to Jakarta and from jakarta we'll head to Bandung by bus which will take approximately 1 n a1/2 hour. We're given elaun-penempatan but jpa already prepared the houses for us to stay..So the allowance will be bonus then..Thank God..can buy household equipments with tht money.we r gonna stay in Jatinangor which is 40 minutes away from d university for unknown reason(actually she told us the reason but i didnt pay attention)..but then the elaun sara hidup is too little but they said it corresponds to the living cost n some say it's more than enough..but come on!!...u send us to Indonesia so give us something EXTRA as compensation..anyway they said that our allowance will be increased by February next year i suppose... hopefully it's true..with all the shops tht offer cheap stuff, i could lose the money hand over fist..after the briefing i asked her some questions which she has already announced and i got scolded for not paying heed to her briefing..hehe

almost!!!fewh...

I just created this blog..n was trying to decorate it to be interesting but neither bland nor gaudy..When my parents came back they asked me to send my younger bro to bus station as he was supposed to go back to boarding school today...As he was late already, si i just left my comp n went to send him...To my surprise when i got home, my computer was already off.. and I DIDNT REMEMBER MY USER NAME..i was all panicked and stupefied..i tried every single name that i always use but none of them was correct..So, i took a deep breath and calm my mind n put myself together and think again, and Alhamdulillah, the user name pop out from my mind n now here I am publishing another post..so lucky

predeparture briefing

I woke up 6.30 in the morning to go to Putrajaya for the predeparture briefing...I went with my friend,Hafiz who by da way seems have upgraded his car to kembara( b4 was kancil). He came to my cousin's house to pick me up at 7.15a.m n we went there n bla..3x...I was caught by surprise once i entered the auditorium to see cik Intan was there...After all the defamation by KU*** she still had d audacity to be there talking in front of us...On top of that, her nonchalant expression made everybody beleived that the fiasco about Unpad forms was not her fault..till now that thing is jz ignored by everybody so why should i care??!!! she started the briefing with some induction on Bandung the place where I'm going to..n so far all the comments are positive and her compellingly attractive descriptions spurt the pang of enthusiasm of me...OMG!!I cant wait to go there..she said about the weather which is cold and when u r walking at noon, u wont be sweating..wait e sec..that wasnt her but my friend who's now in Bandung..Back to briefing, she said about Bandung as the base of factory outlets whick makes it as a shopping paradise especially for shopaholics like Wei Mei and Stephanie.hehe and all the goods are frigging cheap..way to be extravagant..and the food for sure is cheap but who knows whether it goes with my fussy appetite...n loadz more of stuff which are superficial to be mentioned but, nonetheless interesting and enlightening..I'm really looking forward this 22nd of August
